The steel industry produces more carbon dioxide than any other heavy industry
When all countries in the world are seeking to build and expand cities and infrastructure, they all have a greedy desire for one thing: steel.
It is the most commonly used metal in the world today and plays a role in many aspects of our daily life -- from cars, planes and ships, to washing machines and household items.
It is obvious that cleaning up one of the largest sources of industrial carbon dioxide pollution is the key to coping with climate change. According to the data of the International Energy Agency, by 2050, steel emissions must be reduced by 50%, and then continue to decline, in order to achieve the world's climate goals.
