"The proposal on this project was submitted by the private sector, and both countries agreed in principle to study the matter in detail," he said.

"As for the state government, we have taken all government agencies to visit the area where the new route is planned yesterday," he told reporters after an interview with melakan radio.

He added that the project will also involve the construction of other infrastructure, including a transportation dispersion area and an immigration, customs, quarantine and security complex.

Ab raud said that in addition, a new industrial zone (B&R X20AO2622 Analog Output Module, Allen Bradley 1756-OF8 Analog Output Module, Siemens 3UG4512-1BR20 Relay)with an area of about 2023 hectares will be developed in stages in Masjid Tanah.

He added that the development of the area will be carried out by the  company, which is also expected to help open a new town in Masjid Tanah.
